This certificate prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Electrician Training. Students completing this certificate will acquire skills in the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution, electrical building and safety codes. This program also prepares individuals for the California Electrician Certification Examination as part of the electrician certification process required by the State of California.

Q: Is College of the Sequoias an approved school by the State of California to provide Electrician Training?
A: Yes, College of the Sequoias' Electrician Training program is on the list of approved schools on the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) website (click here to view the list).
Q: I have enrolled in one of COS's ET courses in order to hold my Electrician Trainee card. Will the DIR take away my card if I stop attending the class meetings or drop out?
A: You must be enrolled and be successfully completing one of our ET courses in order to hold your trainee card. If you drop out or do not complete, you will be considered "inactive" by the DIR.
