80377259.jpgMathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) is one of the most successful programs of its kind to provide. academic support for thousands of educationally disadvantaged students.

MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROGRAM (MCCP) provides math, engineering and science academic development to educationally disadvantaged community college students so they excel academically and transfer to four-year institutions as science, engineering and math majors. MCCP is a between MESA and the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.

Corporate representatives, including MESA alumni, participate on advisory boards at each center to provide strategic planning assistance, scholarships, summer internships, field trips and other resources. The board is a valuable connection between the students and companies that recognize MESA’s success in helping to develop the technical professionals they need.

MESA enjoys strong support from companies because they recognize MESA’s success in producing technical professionals needed by industry to stay competitive. Corporations such as Boeing, ChevronTexaco, General Electric, HP, IBM, Intel, SBC, and Texas Instruments have provided funding, in-kind contributions, scholarships, and internships to assist MESA students. Corporate representatives serve on state and local MESA advisory boards.
