Managing My Library Account
Logging into My Library Account
Log on to and click on the My Library Account icon to access your library account and view checkouts, holds and charges.
Viewing Checkouts, Holds, Charges, and Renewing Books
There are three tabs on the Library Account page: Checkouts, Holds, and Charges.
Click each highlighted tab to view your account information.
You can books (extend the time that the books will be checked out to you) on the Checkouts tab.
Placing a Hold (Requesting a Book)
If an item that you'd like to borrow is currently checked out or located on another campus, you can place a hold on the item. As soon as the item is returned or sent to the library that you chose, you will receive an email notifying that the item is ready for you. The item will be held for seven days before it is returned to the general collection.
Note: Books on Reserve cannot be put on hold.
To place a hold, find the item you are interested in by using the search box on the top of the My Library Account page and click on the button. Select your pick up location (Visalia, Hanford, or Tulare) and click on .
The library will email you at your COS MyGiant email address when your item is ready.
